Gratitude for Sustainability Teams

by | Nov 25, 2024 | GLYNTBlog

As we head into Thanksgiving and celebrate this warm and friendly holiday, we here at GLYNT.AI would like to direct a wave of appreciation and admiration to the sustainability teams we’ve met this year. They have been doing the yeoman’s work of rounding up and preparing sustainability data. They’ve developed in-house systems that are a labor of love. They work long hours – including many nights and weekends – to keep their data flows going. We’ve met some amazing people:
  • The team from Singapore. Always right on point, pleasant to work with, and working hard. They know their stuff! And with such grace.
  • The head of waste data for a large company in EMEA. We’re constantly amazed at her depth of knowledge, operational know how, consideration of her team, and work ethic. It has been such a pleasure to work together!
  • The sustainability and environmental compliance team for a public, highly regulated company in Canada. Always looking to do great work today and to set things up for further success. And always level-headed and cool, even when their data is being audited.
  • The SVP from a public US company who partners with his accounting team to deliver awesome sustainability data and operational results. His insistence on better, then better again and even better one more time has raised our game.
  • The SVP in the US who said it so clearly, “I’m from the southeast. We’ve never seen sustainability activities work without a strong business case. So what have you got?” That simple, direct question frames it all.

These are just some of the wonderful and memorable people we’ve had a chance to work with this year. They are doing the very hard work of preparing sustainability data for the clients and companies, and for the planet.

GLYNT.AI has had an impressive and amazing year, and much of the credit goes to the wonderful sustainability teams everywhere. Their work is often under appreciated, but they power on, delivering the sustainability data their company needs. We are so appreciative of the systems you set up and the work you do.

With respect and gratitude,

The GLYNT.AI Team
And a gift: In 2025, GLYNT.AI expects the integration between finance and sustainability to become ever more important, starting with the business case for sustainability data improvements. Yet finance teams may know very little about sustainability. So take a look at our companion blog post, 5 Things About Sustainability Every CFO Needs to Know. Sustainability teams are amazing. Perhaps the list will help introduce your work and its value to finance.
